And according to Hamas’s charter, this is exactly what that organization intends to do: destroy all Jews worldwide.
Medicine: Without Jonas Salk, there would be no polio vaccines today. Millions would be living with permanent paralysis.
Life-saving diagnostics: Without Jewish contributions to medical physics, there would be no MRI or CT scans today. Diseases would be detected far too late.
Physics and technology: Without Albert Einstein, there would be no GPS, no precise satellites, and no modern space-based communication.
Computing: Without John von Neumann, there would be no modern computers, operating systems, or the internet as we know it.
Women’s health: Without Carl Djerassi, there would be no birth control pill today. Less freedom, higher mortality.
Agriculture and food: Without Israeli innovation in irrigation, seeds, and water management, there would not be crops today that feed hundreds of millions. These are inventions that saved entire countries from famine.
And what would the future look like?
A less innovative world. A more oppressive one. A world lacking solutions to countless human challenges. A future without Jews is a future where medicines arrive too late, technologies fail to mature, and ideas meant to improve human life are never born. It is a future without that ancient commitment that drives the Jewish people to act not only for themselves, but for the benefit of all humanity.
